The aim of this project was to train around 200 teachers of kindergarten and primary education from all over Galicia. The main purpose was to form participants in the Design Thinking methodology and the Maker Movement to apply it in their own classrooms, thereby leading to a transformation in the way it is worked within the educational system.
To achieve such a thing, the training was structured as a hackathon on a 3 days coexistence. Teams were created by putting together participants of different profiles which had to develop projects implementing technologies such as Arduino, 3D printing, electronics or Scratch.
Coexisting during a whole weekend allowed to generate networks of collaboration among different teachers, fact which causes this project to transcend the training and keep it alive.
